Had a great lunch with a few watch friends!
Hi there,Today, I had a great lunch with 2 watch friends from the official IWC forum. We went to the Yamazato restaurant in Amsterdam, a traditional Japanese restaurant. The lunch was great, just as the conversations and the watches. Unfortunately a fourth invitee had to call in sick, otherwise I would have had a few pictures of the Vintage Ingenieur to show here The light in the restaurant wasn't........

After having acquired a 1963 Reissue chronograph with the ST-19, I became interested in the other iconic Chinese watch movement from the 60's, the ST-5. I'm participating in a project on That Other Forum to acquire vintage Seagull-era ST-5's, fully refurbished and placed in modern cases. But then I decided I needed an ST-5 in an original case, and to avoid competing with those, started looking for........
Any watch companies started in NYC?
I need a subject for my term paper, so I thought why not watches? Just wondering if there were any watch companies that were created in New York City during the time period of 1860 - 1940, it would be interesting to do a paper on watches but my main concern is finding sourcesMy term paper topic has to do with anything New York City related.........
